May Arts Makes for CUTE pumpkins!

I'm up at May Arts today- go see how easy it is to make this:
We even made them in my daughter's class today- easy-peasy!
And here's my little jellyfish! She's really excited to trick or treat tonight- and it's supposed to rain, so her costume will work out well!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a safe & fun Halloween!! :)

Happy Halloween Eve!

I had such good intentions of getting more fun cards done. Didn't happen. *sigh*
I had picked up the Making Memories rub-ons on clearance after Halloween last year & had to at least put some of them to work! I have the matching paper pad, so it was quick work!
I've added a bit of May Arts metallic velvet to each for extra oomph, with ease!!
Seriously- if you don't have any of that ribbon, you NEED it. I repeat, NEED. ;)
And I'd been wanting to try my hand at the scrabble pendants- so here's some of my first tries- using the Graphic Fairy's images, and strung on May Arts satin string.

So even though I'm late, I've got LOTS of halloween fun to add to the Ribbon Carousel's challenge!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Haunting! :)

October 2012 PTI blog hop

Every month I'm shocked it's the 25th already!!
I've got an unusual color scheme for a holiday card (which is the challenge!)- pretty fun, really!
I've used the negative of the tree die, and popped up the ornaments (using the Make It Monday inspiration)- which I spritzed with some super shine!
I've used ribbon for my scarlet & avacado accents. The background is embossed with the sheet music impression plate.
I apologize for the night pics! So hard to see the colors....
Ok- I had to snap a couple of pics in daylight-

 Here's the inspiration:

Thanks so much for hopping by!

Happy Birthday, Karen!

Happy Birthday, Karen!
Erin & I have joined forces to wish a dear friend a sweet birthday. While we've never met in person, I consider Karen to be a true friend, and feel lucky to have her in  my life. Her words of kind encouragement always come at the perfect time, and her talent is always beyond inspiring.

Erin & I decided to quasi Carbon Copy ourselves in Karen's honor! We've used the TCM sketch & May Arts ribbon & Skipping Stones Designs 'grunge'. I've also put Jay Gee's challenge to work- a site that was introduced to me by Karen. And I've used Skipping Stones Designs stamps that Karen generously gifted to me! (heartsong, grunge & garden stamp kiss)
The focal image was cut with spellbinders die, stamped & enhanced with Prismacolor pencils. The center strip was stamped, then machine stitched on each side. As soon as I saw Jay Gee's challenge, this MME paper came to mind. The banner is a new to me tool/trick. The top banner is the size/shape of the spellbinder die, but I only cut part way, turned it around/lined it up & cut again for a double-ended banner!
I tried to capture an ombre look on my banner by heat embossing with clear & topping with ink. Also shooting for some ombre on those punched flowers.
Wishing you a fantastic birthday, Karen!
Thanks so much for stopping by- head over to see Erin's creation in Karen's honor- and stop by the birthday girl's blog to wish her a happy birthday yourself!!
:D

WCMD 2012

I'm a bit late in posting for WCMD, but since there are still some challenges open, I thought I'd play along!
First up is a pink Paper Smooches card (for one of their WCMD challenges)! This one features Grafiti & Daisies & Paislees! And CAS-Friday's theme is For the Girls- in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month- so I'll link up there!
I finally got a chance to play with the fabulous Paper Smooches stamps I won & LOVE them! I couldn't stop! So I made a little scene with the Halloween set, the leaves from Daisies & Paislees & used Grafiti again for my sentiment (can you see it? I was having a tough time photographing the gray on yellow!). I used the PTI tree trunk die for my branch, some Glitz paper & a fun new ribbon from May Arts. Since one of the challenges at Ellen's is to create a scene, I'll add this to that challenge. This on e works for the Moxie Fab WCMD World Hello/Thinking of you challenge too.
And last up- I put some trendy chevron dies (and Cosmo Cricket earth love paper) to work, along with the MFT flower die & a tag cut with my Cricut. I stamped the keys on vintage bookprint- another fun trend! And Ellen also has a Trend challenge going,  so I'll add this one there! This one also works for the Moxie Fab World WCMD Thank you challenge!

I hope you had time to play in some WCMD challenges too! Thanks for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think! I'm off to work on Halloween costumes! Lol!
