MIM #243: Ink Blending Over Heat Embossing

The challenge this week was to use ink blending over heat embossing- I really love this look, and although for the example it was used as a background, I chose to use it over the focal image!

I finally inked up the adorable Wee folk set! I love it!
I used sweet blush ink for the blending, as well as the flowers, and with the misti was able to build up the color. There are tiny pearls in the little flowers too!
I've used 3 ribbons for my tag- a great way to add some fun detail!
1.5" pink tulle, 3/8" pink satin knot edge, and 1/4" moss silk bring the ink colors together.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Easter!

PTI Blog Hop: March 2016

Playing along with the PTI blog hop today- the inspiration had beautiful stitching on sketches, so I decided to incorporate some stitching into my project.

All images are from Filled with Joy.
I added gold metallic string to my flower center!
Definitely a challenge, as paper tears more easily than fabric!

I used my new misti on this for the first time- I think I will enjoy that tool :)
My first non-coffee card in a while! ha!
Thanks for stopping by- Happy Hopping!

Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I've got another coffee card to share today for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop!
It's amazing how blog friends can become such great friends- I count myself very blessed that a couple of my dearest friends are people I've *met* through the blogosphere!
When Karen sent me these goodies to play with I may have squealed with joy! Seriously- you need to check out the Lil' Inkers stamps & dies- LOOK at how perfect this cup is!  A huge thank you to Karen for sparking creativity!

I framed it with a spellbinder die- paper is Authentique again- that stack says spring to me!
Topped with a butterfly from the same stack.
Doesn't it say SPRING!!!?

Loving all the inspiration- need more hours in the day!
Thanks for stopping by- and thanks again to Amy and everyone helping her out to create this amazing hop!

Ribbon Resource + Graphic45

The Ribbon Resource and Graphic45 has teamed up again for some fun!
I was sent products from Children's Hour to work with & here is what I created:

A fun pillow box, tied up with 1.5" sheer/wrinkled edge in white. I tied on a little stamp & key with lavender &  yellow burlap string

Next up, a sweet April card.

Yellow 1.25" silk is topped with yellow 3/8" double faced satin ribbon & and a 3/16" yellow striped grosgrain bow is tied around both. A layer of coordinating paper is topped with the focal panel.

Last, a July card!

A gorgeous 1.25" red silk bow is tied on top of a double layer of 3" red tulle; the focal panel tops both.

There will be 3 $25 gift cards up for grabs, so make sure you stop by all the blogs! Here is the list for the week:

MFT: Sketch Challenge 272

Playing along today with the MFT Sketch Challenge
Amy is the guestie, so I am glad I could play along!
I've been converting my stamp storage to the Jennifer McGuire system (late to the party on that, I know!)- but love finding some gems that I'd completely forgotten about.

This sweet little PI image is colored with prismacolor pencils. I used a Spellbinder die to cut the circle then used ribbon for the horizontal elements. The pink layer is 5/8" satin/grosgrain double band, topped with the robin's egg blue adhesive scallop ribbon.
The color is a bit off in the pic- the paper is Authentique- and it looks great in person!
I am usually so literal- but my circle was so big that it didn't let enough of the pretty ribbon show- so I turned it!

PTI: Create Along With Us March 2016

It's the Create Along With Us challenge at PTI this week!
I was inspired by the slant of Maile's front panel, as well as the way the image was stamped on the base layer.
I had the immediate idea of using the older Embellisments set in the same manner that she did- but the plan was foiled when I realized the dies are connected.
Off I went to find a die large enough!

I came up with a Year of Flowers- with the initial intention of stamping the sentiment over the flowers- but I ended up feeling like the yellow panel needed to be broken up....
A tiny tag is tied on with light blue burlap string.

Here's the pretty inspiration:

I've got a fun tag to share for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop!
I created it with the new stamps & dies from Paper Sweeties Coffee, Yes Please!
I am so lucky to have been the guest designer for them this month!

The tag is a May Arts Decorative Kraft Tag- I love the variety in the pack & you can't beat the price! The ribbon is 5/8" faux canvas in salmon. Love that stuff!

Paper Sweeties March 2016 Release Rewind!

It's time for the Paper Sweeties Release Rewind- a chance to pair an older set with the new ones!
I've used Make Today Beautiful along with Coffee, Yes Please and Coffee, Yes Please Sweet Cuts, as well as the sentiment from But First, Coffee.

I created a mask so that I could stamp that swirled flower image inside the mug- so fun!
The patterned paper is very old by Studio K, a little stickles on the steam & some silk ribbon finish it off!

Make sure you check out all the fun projects the Team has created- and know that you will see me sharing more of these images during the upcoming Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
