PTI Blog Hop January 2017- MIM #273 Spinner Cards

The month certainly has flown by! Already time for the PTI hop!
Here's my take:

I've combined the MIM spinner card challenge as well (Lizzie's video is sure to make you smile if you haven't checked it out!).
The inspiration for the hop is so pretty!
I've used some echo park paper for the stripes; the pink stripes are from PTI's journaling lines, and the flowers/dies are from Graceful Greetings. The 'xoxo' (l♥ve is on the other side of the heart) is from Tag-Its #11. A few Nuvo drops for added interest finishes it off!
I'm thinking the cookie that was my inspiration may be obvious!
:D

So great to already have my daughter's Valentine card done!
Happy Hopping!

MFT Color Challenge #61

Playing along with MFT Color Challenge today!

This little gnome is the cutest! I've colored him in the challenge colors with zigs then fussy cut. The mushroom and sentiment are both popped up. The coral panel is die cut with a gina marie stitched scalloped die; I ink blended the bottom with some ink that worked well with the challenge colors. A bit of gray ribbon grounds them.
A little time left to play!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge #8 Inspiration

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires!
Have you played along yet?
Here's my take for today:

Literal girl here could NOT resist the snowman! I love how he is only partially visible here- and it made me think of the polaroid die (Lawn fawn Say Cheese).
I did some ink blending on the background and stamped/fussy cut the snowman from Making Frosty Friends. His scarf, hat & nose are colored with zigs (he is stamped with versafine black on Bristol paper). The snowflakes are heat embossed with white powder & a few glitters/snow were added for the shaker portion.
Still LOTS of time to play! Hope you can join us!

The Heart Desires Challenge 8

Today is the start of Challenge #8 at The Heart Desires
So much fun inspiration to choose from- here's my take:

I've used the beautiful Concord & 9th Wildflower set along with turquoise Brusho after being inspired by the lower left image. I heat embossed the flowers with white powder and then added the brushos. Such a pretty, if somewhat unpredictable, effect. After it was dry I flicked some yellow acrylic paint as well as adding dots of it to the flower centers to bring in more of the challenge colors. I cut the focal panel with a Gina Marie scalloped stitched rectangle die, then added to a navy panel.
Here's the inspiration- you've got all month to play and so many elements to be inspired by!! Hope that you will join us!
