December 2014 PTI Blog Hop Take 3

One last card for the hop- and playing along with MIM stamped borders!
Big Thanks center image stamped in smokey shadow & vintage borders stamped in gold & silver delicata.

Trying to capture the shimmer!

I like how the image from vintage labels matches the big thanks! A little more formal than I usually create, but would be a really pretty border for a wedding card!!
Happy Hopping!

December 2014 PTI Blog Hop- Take 2

Take 2 for the PTI blog hop!
I've used PTI white cardstock & some Artful Accents silver glitter dot garland to create a super CAS thank you card! Mail friendly too- LOVE that!
I used a spellbinder circle die to cut a PTI kraft circle to stamp on. Sentiment is from Trendy Trees. The ink is Delicata gold- so pretty in person- hard to photograph!
I would've heat embossed but my heat gun died! WHAT? It is probably over 20 years old so I suppose it's understandable. I had a momentary thought of getting the iron ouy to heat emboss old-school- it passed!

I think I will make some more of these- I think they turned out so cute!!

Happy Hopping!

December 2014 PTI Blog Hop

PTI blog hop day! This month the theme is silver & gold!
I've used some gold foil DCWV paper to create a box. I've tied it up with May Arts 1/2" metallic silver ribbon and used gold metallic string to tie on a PTI tiny tag stamped with a sentiment from Trendy Trees using delicata ink.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Happy Hopping!

May Arts: Unique Gift Wrapping

Welcome to my stop on the May Arts Unique Gift Wrapping hop! :)
I found this pin awhile ago & thought it was a really fun idea- but it needed ribbon!!

I used two pieces of kraft paper & held them together with clothes pins. I sketched a simple stocking shape (I outlined in black so you could see it in the pics) & cut it out.

I didn't want pin holes so I used more clothes pins to hold the stocking together so that I could sew it.
You can see I added the 1.5" wired burlap with lace edge in natural, topped it with burgundy 5/8" satin pleats & tied a loose bunch of natural burlap string aound the pleats.

I left the top open for filling & tied a stamped Artful Accents kraft decorative tag & jingle bell on.
If I actually had my gift prepared I would sew the top up like the link I pinned above, but....
:D

I think this looks adorable! You could make lots of shapes- the example had a star, but a simple circle could be decorated to look like an ornament! And this takes just a bit of ribbon, so a great use for those pretty bits that are too small for much else!

May Arts: Holiday Sweets!

Welcome to my stop on the Holiday Sweets hop!
I've made a yummy harvest bread to give to some special friends & wanted to wrap it up to make a pretty gift!

I love the contrast of burlap & glitter!

I also made a mini loaf of the bread & wrapped it with 5/8" organic cotton stripes (385-58-14) in red. I tucked some holly leaf satin cut out ribbon (EX45)as well as some red curly sparkling ribbon (SE14)
I used one of the new Artful Accents kraft decorative tags (T495-33) to stamp a holiday greeting then tied red burlap string (SM-14) around the tag & used it to tie it to my gift as well.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm super excited to be able to participate in ~Amy's~ amazing hop!
Hopefully I've got things linked properly :)
I went pretty CAS today.
I used some BasicGrey paper & spellbinder die for my window. PTI Warm Happiness Too was used, but the snowflake is from 2 feet deep.
May Arts 3/4" ivory canvas was stamped with delicata gold ink (also used on the snowflake) & tied off with 1/4" light blue sheer ribbon.

My favorite drink this time of year is a chai eggnog latte. SO delicious- have you tried one?

I don't have any coffee ribbon, but I do have lots of other types! How about I send one person a sample of several types? Don't forget to leave your contact info in your comment if you're a 'no-reply' blogger!
ETA: My little blog candy will be open through Dec. 14th- just like the hop!
ETA- WINNER!

Erin is the winner of my blog candy! I will be getting your ribbon out to you soon!
Thanks to everyone that left such sweet comments :)

Thank you to amy for all her amazing work!
Happy Hopping!

MIM #191: Glittered Frames

This week the MIM challenge was to make glittered frames.
I kind of like glitter.
A lot.
So here's what I came up with:

The stamping on the flowers was hard to capture- used gold delicata which looks fab with the MS gold glitter on the frame :)
Sentiment is from a wreath for all seasons.

The busy season is here! Yikes!
Hope you're all enjoying it- wish I could just slow it down a bit...

We saw Santa on Friday- I posted on instagram from my phone- I caught a really genuine laugh they were both having- we asked her what they were laughing about & she said she told him she wanted a pet rock- he cracked up.
what a nut.
Thanks for stopping by!
