September 2012 PTI Blog Hop

Time really does fly! Hard to believe the 25th is here already & with it brings the PTI blog hop!

This month the challenge was to use felt or fabric for a wrap- I used both!

 A simple sheet of felt is embellished with some fun fabric & folded into an envelope shape. Buttons were sewn on to use with some May Arts Baker's Twine to make a fun enclosure.

 Tiny tags dresses it up!

 Here it is filled up- and below you can see it open!

Buttons & twine are the theme at Ribbon Carousel this week- so I'll play there too! :)

I've got a fun birthday card I made using The Craft's Meow September Sketch!

 I put a DCWV matstck to use (gilded orchard), along with my Soiree stamps from Pink Paislee. Kind of bittersweet- I bought those stamps at my friend Cami's store- The Paper Muse. It's such a pretty spot, but will be closing doors for good next weekend. :(

 And you know I had to add some ribbon! The May Arts plum solid/wrinkle is perfect with this paper!!! I paper pieced a tiny cupcake wrapper- super cute! :D

Another Artful!

I just got these little Pink Paislee tiles & thought they'd work well with the Artful Delight Sketch- so today's a two-fer!

Nantucket paper & May Arts Baker's twine- PTI sentiment. A little punch across the top & some distressing- but nothing taking away from the lovely paper....

I'm sneaking in under the wire for Artful Delight's challenge- where did this month go?

I've used a mirror image of the sketch. PTI wreath for all seasons is highlighted by a spellbinder's label die. SU! creamy caramel ink, Versafine brown, Fresh ink- currant are the colors that match this week's Play Date colors & add an interesting play on a fall card! I've used the new heavenly crochet from May Arts, tied up with some burlap string. And since fall is the theme at Ribbon Carousel this week, I'll play there too! :)
