July 2015 PTI Blog Hop

There is a beautiful image for this month's hop at PTI-
here is what I came up with:

I had visions of recreating those popped up rows of butterflies, but alas, they wouldn't all fit!

Cardstock is vintage cream, pattern paper is BasicGrey, MS butterly punch- I scored a line under those butterflies & put pop up adhesive under each wing- love how that turned out!
This 3/8" ribbon from  May Arts is the border.
I double stamped the sentiment from Graceful Greetings- I liked it in the blue color, but it didn't show well enough....

Thanks for stopping by!

May Arts: Scraps Hop

We're having a Scrap Hop at May Arts today!
I thought a fun way to use those scraps that are only a few inches long would be to make ribbon covered bandages!

I had seen a post awhile ago with fabric covered bandages & thought ribbon would be another fun choice! The box had the width of the different sizes listed, which made it easy to pick ribbons that would fit. I've used 3/4" chevron twill,  5/8" glitter elastic, 5/8" cotton stripes, 5/8" denim, 5/8" burlap center stitch, and the new 1" solid with color band & stitched edge.

I used the fabric store brand type & Tacky glue.
Nothing fancy!

When the glue dried a bit I trimmed them up!

Sort of sad & lucky that my girl & I were both in need of a bandage shortly after I'd made these!!

Now make sure you hop along & leave comments- there will be 3 grab bags of the new release ribbons-so three chances to win this fun prize!!!

Here's the lineup! Good luck!

MIM #217: Creating Custom Borders

This week the challenge for Make it Monday was to create your own custom border.
I started looking for images to use & was pretty excited when I found this image from last year's stamp-a-faire set fit perfectly into a 1.5" scalloped circle punch I had!
Various Momento Luxe inks, and a bit of Delicata gold stamped off under the 'joy'.
My first use of Pretty Pink Post sequins! These are from the sequin mix.
A little grape burlap string at the edge of the focal panel.

So glad I could fit this in- Hadley went to her grandparents so I finally painted the dark green wall the house came with when we moved in while she was gone.
I.am.Exhausted.

Have a great week!
