April 2012 PTI blog hop

Whew! Where has the month gone? I remember seeing the inspiration for the PTI hop & thinking I couldn't wait to make something- so here it is:
I used the anniversary set again! I heat embossed the flower with pale pink powder & then stamped over it with darker pink ink. It needs a bit more for the background.... maybe polka dots? I can see trying this again!
May Arts sheer pink ribbon tops it off....
Speaking of May Arts- make sure you head over to see who we're playing with this week! :)
Oh! And Anything goes at The Ribbon Carousel this week!

Jay Gee's, RCC & MIM

How's that for a title? ;)This week's MIM was to make flowers from PTI leaf dies- and I don't have any (the horror!), but I saw this post & decided to go looking for something that would work. Any guesses as to which die I used? (admittedly, my flower shape isn't nearly as lovely as hers, but it IS a flower shape!)
I was inspired by Jay Gee's challenge on the colors- my pink is a bit brighter than the cute straws in her pic, but it's where the idea came from. And the layout is from the Ribbon Carousel's sketch. The patterned paper is Pink Paislee *swoon*, the dots are PTI & that's the new Baker's Twine from May Arts! I also cut some tulle with the die to layer between the petals.
I think it created a pretty spring card. What do you think?
And here's the die!

And don't forget to head to May Arts & check out the fun swap!

Embellished Lawnscaping

The embellish challenge has such pretty colors, with the added element of jewels. So I've made several different variations with the colors, adding a bling center to each Lawn Fawn pinwheel!
Each card also features the fab new May Arts Baker's twine!

The first two cards I used my prismacolor pencils to be able to play in the current Lawnscaping challenge too.
And for good measure I tried it out on kraft! ;)
 Which version is your favorite?

And don't forget to stop by the May Arts blog this week! There's a fun swap going on!!
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!

PDCC Thank you & Easter eggs

This week's play date colors are so lovely together, and I am in dire need of some thank yous, so I put them to work! I used the PTI anniversary set (soooo pretty!),  did a little masking & here you go:
Doesn't that sheer ribbon just add the right touch? And the nice thing is that it didn't take additional postage! :)
Here's the pretty color story from Play Date Cafe:
And here's what we did this afternoon! Can you spy the new missing tooth? :)
Our eggs have glitter on them- which does not show up one bit in the pics, but still fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think! And have a great Easter!

Flashing back to first die cut

The flashback challenge this go-round is our first die cut! Here's my first posted- using a nestability butterfly that I borrowed from my friend, Cindy! I still think this is pretty cute- original post is here.
And today my little sweet pea turned 7! Where has the time gone? She is the sunshine in my days! She picked little pet shop for her cake (devil's food & mocha buttercream, by request- yum!)- and we made the pinwheels together! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you had a fabulous day too!
