November 2011 PTI blog hop

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!! We certainly counted our blessings!
This month's hop is a gorgeous photo inspiration- here's my take:

I was inspired by the gorgeous ribbon/bow on the banister & the shades of green!
PTI white cardstock, A wreath for all seasons stamps, DCWV patterned paper, May Arts silk. Not sure if you can see the clear embossing over the pure poppy ink...
 Here's the pretty inspiration!
Head over to Nichole's blog to see all the great creations!
Thanks for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think! Happy hopping!!

Anything Goes!

Well here's a little pillow I made for Hadley's friend. The little girl told me that red is now her favorite color- and you may have guessed her name starts with an 'e'. :)
I cut the letter with my cricut (base camp, I believe) & traced it onto fabric lined with interfacing (?). I cut it out, machine sewed it on & frayed the edges a bit. A button was hand-sewn on with May Arts burlap string. (The pillow is just muslin & Hadley stuffed it after I sewed it up!)
Anything goes this week at Ribbon Carousel!
And it's the end of the weekend, but still time to head over to May Arts for the weekend giveaway (hurrry!).
Don't forget the giveaway on my blog- check out the details here! Thanks for stopping by!!

Flashback Friday

**Second post today**

This morning I posted a banner- and my friend Erin emailed me immediately to tell me I need to post an OLD banner to play along with Flashback Friday! This is my first time playing along! Amy is the hostess, and she's one talented gal!
So here are my first 2 banners- both orinally posted in Oct. 2009! And I admit they are both hanging up in my house currently (That boo banner is still a fave & I always hate taking it down- but it will come down today....)
Fall banner originally posted here.

Good Day! *giveaway*

ETA: the winner has been drawn! Congrats to sharon g!

Today is a good day. I take that back, a GREAT day! I recently saw some beautiful stained glass featured on Etsy, and Creating Cupcakes' blog.
And you know what? It was a friend from elementary school's work! ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!!! How amazing is that?
So we had a little chat, and he's been making these sweet Christmas lights- check them out:
Look how fun they are hanging up!
Now here's the VERY BEST part! He wants to give one of YOU a set of FIVE lights! Isn't that generous? Here's what you need to do- head over to his Etsy shop & take a look around. There are some amazing creations- you may even cross some holiday gifts off your list while you are there! Then come back here & leave me a comment telling me what your favorite item is! That's it!
I'll draw a winner on November 17th! (And I checked with Kyle- this giveaway is open to everyone!)
Here's to reconnecting with childhood friends!
Good luck!
