Very Punny...

I've got a punny card to share today! The inside of this says 'hope you are fully recovered soon!'
I've had that couch cut from a sock sitting on my desk for a LOOOONG time! Even before I got the dies- It would have been much easier to die cut than fussy cut! Since I wanted to shabby it up even more, I roughed up the edges & used my scissors to cut it a bit- since it needs to be recovered! ha.

Don't you love the pattern paper? It's from a MME 6x6 that I won from ~amy~! May Arts burlap string, PTI woodgrain impression plate & stamps, mini pearl pillow center.
I'm playing in 2 challenges- CAS-Friday's & Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes!

And you may want to head over to May Arts! We are welcoming back the original Prima Ribbonista! (and you KNOW how the Ribbon Lady likes to celebrate! Giveaway, anyone?!)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!!

Wine tag: Life IS good

Hi there! I've got a wine tag here- my friend, Erin, has been making oodles of these, and since my husband wanted to give a bottle of wine as a thank you, thought I'd jump on board! ;)
I've used Bella Blvd paper- when I saw the Ribbon Carousel's color & swirls challenge, I knew this was the paper for it!
And I know you are loving that new May Arts ribbon! The organic cotton blend comes in 1.5" now! And that is the new woven burlap on top! Yummy, right?!
I stamped some PTI flourishes along the bottom, and the Life is good is Technique Tuesday.

Stampendous & May Arts!!

May Arts & Stampendous had a swap this week & I've got a few cards up on the May Arts blog, like this one!
Isn't that burlap ribbon amazing? :D So head over & leave a comment- you know there's a giveaway involved!

February 2012 PTI Blog Hop

This month's challenge at PTI is to make an interactive card! So I've made a gift card holder- there is a tutorial at May Arts if you'd like to see how to make one yourself- easy-peasy!!

I used the Play Date Colors, as well as the Make it Monday Glittered buttons!
Cardstock is PTI, PP is Cosmo Cricket Earth love (6x6), Stamps are Warm Happiness too. You can hardly see the blue ink on the mug- it's versamagic. I've used May Arts Twill Stripes and ric rac too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Hopping!!!

Flashback to black & white...

The flashback challenge this round is to re-post our first black & white card- this one is the first one I could find- originally posted here:
You'll want to hurry to play along- there's a blog hop too! Congrats to ~amy~ for the 20th challenge!! So go check out the challenge!!

AND May Arts is having a blog swap with Stampendous! You know what that means! GIVEAWAYS!!! So head over, check out the inspiration & leave comments for your chance to win!
I don't have any new crafts to share today (but I've been working on lots!), so I'll share the fun Hadley had over last weekend! Saturday was the Daddy-Daughter dance- I think this is the 4th year? She'd been writing all week in her journal about her anticipation! And the coolest part- Cory asked her what her fave thing from the evening was (they had gone to a cool dinner, the dance with a friend she loves & her daddy, and dessert afterwards- so he was expecting 'dancing with her friend' or something of the sort)- her response: 'being there with you'.
GAH. love.that.girl.

And not to be left out of the date weekend- we went to a local production of the Wizard of Oz- so cute! She got her pic with Glinda (who doesn't love Glinda?!), Dorothy & Toto! :)

Thanks for letting me share some family stuff! Now go check out the challenges!!! :D

Did someone say... TWINE?

YES!!!!!!
I almost passed out when the Ribbon Lady told me that May Arts would be carrying Baker's twine! I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard me squeal with joy! And not only are they carrying it, the colors are heavenly!!!! Take a peak at 3 of them here:
♥Be still my heart!♥
Don't they compliment that Pink Paislee Nantucket line to perfection? SQUEAL I tell ya! :D And there are more colors...! Are you as excited as I am?!
So I've 'tied one on' (or three!) here, for the CAS-Friday challenge! And guess who is sponsoring...! MAY ARTS!!! Talk about fab timing!!! It's been too long since I've been able to play there- which is a bummer, since I always love the challenges!!! :D

You've still got time to play along at CAS-ual Fridays- so go pull out your May Arts ribbon & get busy!!! :D Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!!!

Butterflies & Leaves

I've got a super quick post to play in PTI's anniversary day 9! I thought it would be fun to use a previous anniversary set- so this is round & round! Mat stack die, large punch & the g45 paper is popped up. Check out the embossing powder- it is COOL. Gorgeous May Arts ribbon (of course!) and some text background stamping.

I'll try to come back to add links- I'm running on FUMES!! :)

Be Mine...

Hadley & I worked on our Valentines this weekend! I was inspired by Betsy's card on the Moxie Fab World Die Cutting Challenge- and here's what I came up with:
I used my cricut to cut different sizes of hearts, stamped the smallest & machine stitched them onto my cardbase. (I used Hero Arts XO set in versamark on the base & various pinks/red for the hearts).

And one more with Erin's dies & stamps (rosie posy), Damask Designs sentiment & some tea ink around the edges!

And in preparation for the sweet table the PTA is putting on for the teachers, I made these fun items:
Heart doilies (love!), hearts die cut from patterned paper & pink ruffle ribbon to set them off!
These are double sided & should look SO FUN on the table!
 And speaking of sweet....

We made our traditional hearts! This year we tried pink centers! We die-cut slotted hearts with the cricut, and embossed them with sheet music (my girl LOVES to play with the cuttle bug!)- a little pink gradient ribbon finishes them off! (the pink paper does NOT match well. boo. I don't think the 1st graders will mind!)

WHEW! That's a LOT of die cutting & LOVE!!! I'll be adding this to the MFW die cutting challenge! :D
And since the Ribbon Carousel is having an Anything Goes week, I'll link up there too!

A busy weekend for sure- but lots of fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think!

Sweet Bella

So I probably missed the window to get this in for the Bellarific Friday Challenge. I had stamped & colored this sweetie when the power was out & today she found her spot!
I layered her on some graphic45 paper, which is sewn to some purple Core paper that I embossed with the SU! folder my friend, Megan, gave me! And I layered my ribbon. I got a new color of the May Arts wrinkle. yum. And doesn't that gradient purple just work?

I colored that little basket twice- cut one out & popped it up. I think it's fun. :)

And since Anything Goes at the Ribbon Carousel, I'll play along there too! :)

For Sebastian

My friends (Charlene, Amy, & Karen) all posted cards about this sweet guy, Sebastian- I tell you what- if you read his teacher's blog post about him you, too, will move aside all the things you need to do to fit making & sending a card to him a priority....

I used PTI's favorite colors combo for this cheery card! (the plane is spring moss with versamark & clear embossing powder- remember how I'm out of vintage cream? yah, that's not working out so well.)
ETA- added some clouds- it was just a bit TOO CAS!!

The info you need is on this post- It will remind you to give thanks for your blessings & if you have time, maybe you could send a card to make him smile too! And if you need a little extra nudge- check out Amy's incentive!
