MIM #173: No Outline Watercoloring

This one feels like it fits the challenge this week better over at MIM!
I've stamped my stack of cups in chamomile tea ink and watercolored with Fresh Ink pads. (Die cut with the button card die).
Patterned paper is Lawn Fawn.

'But tell me more about that ribbon!' you say?
I'm not surprised you noticed.
Because it is fantastic.
You need some.
Trust me! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great week!!

July 2014 PTI blog hop

This month the PTI hop challenged us to use a photo for inspiration- here's my take:

I also tried to incorporate the 'no outlines' watercolor treatment as featured in this week's MIM challenge, but my ink shows too much... I've got another one in the works for that. I used my water pen & fresh ink to fill the button card in.
I still like how it turned out :)
A doily & 1/8" red velvet May Arts ribbon finish it off.
I  missed out on the hop. boo! Having trouble with the inlinkz...

MIM #172: Rainbow Medallions

This week the Make it Monday challenge was to create a rainbow medallion- I chose one of my first loves from PTI- a fancy flourish! :)
Inks are Tsukineko & Fresh Ink.
I used a scallop punch to cut a piece of patterned paper & layer vellum on top. The circle is from Circles & Ovals (stamped in delicata gold); sentiment is from butterfly dreams.
May Arts gold metallic string ties it up neatly along the top!

I love how the medallion shape turned out- may have to try it in other colors too!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!

May Arts + Simple Stories + Xyron

Welcome to Day 4 of the team up between May Arts/Simple Stories/Xyron!
What fun!
I am working with the Good Day Sunshine pack. I know I will use these supplies for scrapbooking too, but for today I've got 4 cards to share! They all feature the Simple Stories 3x4 Element pieces.

First up- Happy Summer!
I've got the new 2.5" plain Cotton blend, topped with light fuchsia 5/8" satin/grosgrain double band & tied with yellow burlap string. I secured all the ribbon & the cardstock element with Xyron's tape runner. That sticker seems to tie it all together!

Next- hello!
I covered the entire card front with the Xyron tape runner adhesive then added the focal card & LOTS of burlap string (red, yellow, parrot green, light blue, lavender) and a little twisted burlap string (orange & grape)!

Thought this would be a fun card to give to my husband. The new 5" tiffany blue tulle looks great with the stickers from the Simple Stories kit & the 3x4 element! Xyron tape runner holds things in place!

Who wouldn't love this card? I used some of the patterned paper from the kit, topped it with a 3x4 elelment tied with the new 1/4" tiffany blue silk & added a sticker from the kit. Again used that awesome Xyron tape runner!

Now, of course, we have a chance for you to win some goodies of your own! Make sure to leave a comment for your chance at one of 3 sets of prizes up for grabs, each composed of the following:

Here's the line up for the week so you don't miss a chance at inspiration or the prize pack! :D

MIM #171: Pop Up Die Cuts Take 2

I channeled my friend Erin & made a tag for this week's MIM too- which of course needed to have a coffee theme!

Some old Cosmo Cricket paper, May Arts red silk & seafoam Baker's twine.

I've been missing crafting so much. We have been getting our old house ready to put on the market for 3 weeks. I'm worn out!! Looking forward to finally enjoying summer with Hadley!!
Thanks for stopping by!

MIM #171: Pop up Die Cuts

A quick post to join the fun for MIM this week!

Put a neglected set to use!
Patterned paper is BasicGrey Fact or Fiction. May Arts gold string metallic ribbon. Fresh Ink ink.

I had added Glaz-On to the windshield & headlights & left to get my camera.... I came back to a naughty kitten standing on my card! Ack. What a mess. The windshield definitely paid the price.
