October 2013 PTI blog hop

I'm barely getting this in under the wire, but it's time for the PTI blog hop!
This month the challenge was to create 5 tags.
Here's mine:
Put my new 'joy' die & stamp set to work, used Core'dinations tags as the base & sparkly felt.
Fresh ink in limeade & the new parrot green May Arts burlap string
I was trying to get these done quickly, but actually really love how CAS & crisp they turned out!
It was a busy day here- we also did some pumpkin carving!
 Happy hopping!!

Happy Birthday Karen: 2013 Edition!

Happy Birthday, Karen!!
Today we are celebrating an incredibly talented, kind & supportive friend! How lucky I feel to know her & be inspired by her constantly!
In honor of Karen we all used the Artful Delight Sketch and May Arts ribbon (I chose burlap string- burgundy & bittersweet- as she's mentioned it's one of her faves a few times!)
Cardstock is PTI vintage cream & pp is Cosmo Cricket. Tree stamp is PTI, sentiment is SSD- a company that Karen introduced me to!
SU!, fresh ink & memento inks.

How fun are the burlap blooms? I've used a brad to create them. A bit of stickles on the butterfly to even out the metallic!
Now it's time to keep the celebrating going! What makes birthdays even more fun?
Prizes of course!!
There will be 2 prizes for this celebration! One winner from the comments on the blog hop and another from those that go wish Karen a Happy Birthday! (and you were going to do that anyway!!!)
2 spools of May Arts ribbon to each winner!
Here's the list- happy hopping! And Happy Birthday, Karen!

Ribbonista Halloween Hop!

Welcome to the Ribbonista Halloween Blog Hop!!
I've made a 'boo' cone for my project. Our neighborhood 'boo's' each other, and I thought it would be fun to create something pretty!
I've used DCWV Lemon Flower stack for the cone (if you don't know how to do this, you basically cut an arc on one side of your paper- lots of visuals if you google it!)
I added a spellbinders picot edge circle die & threaded it with the 1/4" chevron twill.
I stamped a ghost on vellum & heat embossed 'boo' in white. (both stamp sets are Paper Smooches) & also added a bit of chalkboard white to the image.
The top of the cone is enhanced with 2 layers of 5/8" sheer ruffle edge ribbon in orange & topped with a layer of 5/8" black satin pleats.
Some festive treats in cello bags that are tied with more 1/4" chevron twill to bring it all together.
The cone hangs from a 3/8" double faced black satin tie!
Are you ready to 'boo'?
:D
Now be sure to visit all the Ribbonistas for lots of inspiration, as well as a PRIZE!!

For a prize: 3 spools from our Halloween Category.

OWH + May Arts

I love being a part of the team up of May Arts & OWH! Our country is amazing because of the people who keep it safe & free- so it's time to say THANK YOU to the soldiers & their families!
I've made 2 cards today- the first uses Echo Park blue striped paper, red cardstock & PTI 'thank you' die.
I've used the 1/2" blue woven burlap at the bottom, with the 1.5" red, white & blue stripe under the cut out. The 1/16" red & white twisted rope ribbon is tied around the top.
The bonus of using a die is that you automatically have 2 pieces! ;)

Same woven burlap- this time with baker's twine.
Thanks for stopping by- now head over to May Arts to see who else is playing along today! :) You know how much the ribbon lady likes giveaways!!
