MIM: #149 Glitter Embellishments

Here I am last minute girl again for the PTI Make it Monday Challenge!
I LOVE glitter- so I had a fun time using my Xyron to use different glitters on one embellishment!

I used the butterfly die from Love Lives Here & the sentiment is from Trendy Trees.
The glitter is doodlebug in the middle & prisma on the edges; ink is versamagic pixie dust.
I used a Core'dination tag for my base; May Arts 5/8" pink scallop edge ribbon & grape burlap string to tie it all up.

The question in the PTI forum yesterday was what percent of your projects do you use pink on... Ha! I think the last several have!
Erin was first again- can I manage another last entry this week?
Thanks for stopping by!

January 2014 PTI blog hop

The month's go faster & faster don't they?
This month the PTI blog hop challenge was to use pink- I can do that! ;)
I used the poppy stamps after embossing a frame with my Spellbinder dies. The flowers are stamped with Tsukineko versamark & pixie dust ink then embossed with Stampendous clear powder. The stems are in Delicata gold- swoon!

I added the 1/4" chevron twill by cutting slits at the edge of the 'frame'.

Thank you so much for stopping by- happy hopping!!

MIM #148

My friend Erin pointed out that she tries to be first for Make it Monday, and I try to be last. I don't actually plan it that way, but it seems to be the way it works out! So here I am again- probably last!

I admit that I thought it looked like blurry stamping in the video- but thought it worth the try. Turns out I like it! (should've stuck with one color for the sentiment though...)

I used the pretty peony image & fresh ink. They all have at least 2 colors, and the lower images have three. I was going for a bit of an ombré look.

I probably would've worked on something earlier- but was entirely too distracted by the Seahawks game! They're going to the Super Bowl!!!!! GO HAWKS!!!!!! It was also superhero spirit day at school on Friday, so I had my hands full working on Hadley's plan- I will share more on that later.... ;)

Thanks for stopping by- love to hear what you think! ;)

MIM #147

Here I am just under the wire again for Make it Monday! This week really flew by!
I'm using Star Prints- turns out I have very few sets this technique would work with!
My stars! Those center ones are tiny!
PTI cardstock, smoky shadow ink; all other inks are Fresh Ink.
Can you see I've popped up some of the stars? Scrapbook Adhesives Dodz did the trick.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

MIM: #146 angled backgrounds

Making it barely for this week's MIM challenge!
Patterned papers are DCWV; will link ribbon later! (May Arts of course!)
Yes, I know this pic is not in focus, but Hadley was helping me practice with a bokeh filter- check out the heart flames in the background! :D
We went to my in-laws this weekend & Hadley shot an official Red Rider bbgun (it was my FIL's from his childhood)! It's the first time she's even held a gun & she thought it was pretty fun & had surprisingly good aim! Perhaps a future marksman?  Thankfully not one eye was shot out!
Thanks for stopping by!
