SAF 2014: 1920's
Here's my take on the PTI SAF 2014 glitter & rhinestone challenge inspired by the 1920's:
The focal panel is pink paislee; ribbon is May Arts 1.5" silky crush in pewter.
I do love me some glitter & bling- fun to combine them!
SAF 2014: 1940's
I was only able to get a couple SAF projects done-
Here's my take on the 1940's hand-stamped symmetrical pattern:
All stamps/paper PTI. May Arts Baker's twine. This was so fun- I love creating stamped patterns!

MIM #176: Embossing Paste Backgrounds- take 2
Another shot at the embossing paste background for this week's challenge.
I used a dreamweaver stencil & spray ink again to color the paste.
The die is cut from DCWV paper 3 times, the stamped portion is heat embossed on vellum.
1" grosgrain/satin edged ribbon in light turquoise is machine stitched on the edge & a few sequins finish it off.
MIM #176: Embossing paste backgrounds
This week the challenge is to use embossing paste for backgrounds. I don't have any cover plates (what!?) so I used a stencil from dreamweaver & also used spray inks from dreamweaver to color my embossing paste. I was shooting for an ombré look- sort of worked ;)
I also used the die from pretty peonies 3 times with DCWV paper to create the sentiment & the stamp is also from that set. A bit of May Arts burlap string in parrot green & a few sequins finish it off.

MIM #175: Creative Card Borders
This week the challenge for MIM was to use non-border dies to create a creative border.
I used Pretty Peonies stamp set, and Momento Luxe inks in pistachio & morocco on a vintage cream panel.
The ribbon is May Arts 3/4" parrot green velvet/corduroy topped with copper ombre raffia. Speaking of raffia- did you see May Arts came out with a bunch of new raffia colors? They are fab!
I love the look of the dies off the edge- very fancy!
Hard to believe I'm not posting this at 11:30pm Sunday night too! WOOHOO!
Hope you're having a great weekend!

May Arts Fall/Winter 2014 New Release Week: Flag Banner Ribbon
Welcome to Day 2 of New Release Week!
I'm featuring the 1" adhesive flag banner ribbon!
I'm featuring the 1" adhesive flag banner ribbon!
I started with a simple card:
Next up I added some DCWV patterned paper, brads, Graphic45 alphabet stamps & Staz-On Ink:
The adhesive makes adding them to toothpicks super quick:
And perfect for decorating treats:
The reason you read this far- Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake decoration! Attached to skewers; I stuck them to themselves so it's cute on both sides of the cake:
Added a bit of burlap string:
Yes, I know that salted caramel center is distracting you from the amazing banner of ribbon.
Last up- we decorated a plain white t-shirt! We used the adhesive backing to place the ribbon then stitched with coordinating ribbon to make sure it would survive washing.
We accented the ends with 1/2" orange solid wrinkle ribbon and the hot pink & orange 1/8" solid ribbon.
Hope this gives you lots of ideas! Here's the line-up this week- be sure to leave comments because the Ribbon Lady loves to share ribbon! ;)
Here’s the giveaway:
