10 Minute Craft Dash

May Arts is sponsoring 10 Minute Craft Dash! This is my first time playing along- what fun- and admittedly- a CHALLENGE! I'm pretty CAS, so I was surprised how long it took when I was actually timing myself!
It's a color challenge this round- and honestly, the ink looks like a closer match in person.... I'm also using the new mini poms in olive- LOVE! I machine stitched them on- should've used adhesive so they would have been straight. Lol. PTI stamps.
One part of the challenge is to post your time- considering I had to find the zipper foot for my machine, not bad.
This was my first attempt- I didn't take a pic of the time-but it was just under 12 minutes. Now, I'm going to admit, that at LEAST 2+ minutes were spent finding a spot to work, and looking for my scissors. So if I would've turned the timer off for those things, or had made a spot for myself FIRST, this would've worked out fine. But I didn't. Fail.
I do rather like the masculine look of it- funny since it has ribbon AND floral images to see it as masculine, right?

So head over & play- because who doesn't want to win some May Arts ribbon? You KNOW you've got 10 minutes!

Head over to prettypinkposh for the challenge details and to see the DT's creations!
A few notes on how this challenge works:
Challenge runs for 10 days.
Post time it took to create project in blog post.
And when you head over to pretty pink posh, you'll see she says you can pull out your supplies BEFORE you start the timer!! Yes, I should've read that more thoroughly! ha.
Extra info: You may combine a total of three challenges with your entry. You may enter the challenge a maximum of two times.

  1. You did such a fabulous job with my challenge, especially for your first time! I love the one layer look (always a favorite on the Craft Dash), and that ribbon is so neat!

I'm so happy it worked out for you and some of the other May Arts DT to join along in the 10 Minute Craft Dash this week!

  2. WTG, Jen! I love that chenille and can't believe I don't own any! I did get my supplies out first. I knew I'd never make it if I didn't. LOL
