The Ribbonistas are sharing some fun ways to craft with kids and ribbon today!
We made ornaments for our project!
This first style was made with fimo clay. Incredibly easy, roll it out & cut it with a shaped cutter. We also stamped it with clear stamps & made a thumbprint heart before baking.
We hung it with 1/4 red chevron twill & gold metallic string to hang it!
We also made our own dough using this recipe I found on pinterest- there are a million!
I will say that even baking on low heat for a veeeerrrrryyy long time (hours) they still weren't all the way dried out & some of them cracked as they dried the rest of the way. Perhaps a dehydrater or a higher temp would've solved this, but they looked cute anyway & we didn't fret about it.
After making the dough you roll it out & cut with shaped cutters again.
When they were done baking we used watercolors on some!
The ornament above is hung with silver metallic string- the one below we used red & white Baker's Twine!
