PTI blog hop
Today I'm participating in my first ever blog hop! No big surprise that it's PTI! And the timing on this is great! I've had this card that I made for my sister's birthday- and her birthday was 2 days ago, so I can show it!! I channeled Debbie Olson for my inspiration.... Isn't this card of Debbie's gorgeous?
And here's my take! :)
Happy Birthday Tina
Here are a couple of things I made for my sister's birthday {Happy Birthday, Tina!}- it was Tuesday, but I wasn't giving them to her until today- so couldn't show 'em here either! *wink*
I made her a camera strap with gorgeous Basic Grey fabric- I think she'll love the colors- at least I hope so!! And that is my first attempt at a template- the new shaker box. Seriously. Is paper really smarter than me? Hmph.
I also made her a necklace. This is my first try at soldering... Can you guess what her name starts with? :)

Paper piecing...
for Joanne's blogoversary challenge! :) Yes, I am using that same sweet image from My Cute Stamps. Can't help myself! And look at me! TWO cards in a row using coveted supplies! WOOOO HOOOOO! *giggle*
More Cosmo Cricket earth love 6x6 on PTI vintage cream. She's stamped in smokey shadow & prismacolor pencils used in addition to the paper piecing. And see the tiny pearls in the flowers? Love those! The butterfly is also from that set, but the sentiment is from PTI's new butterfly set. The little flower embellie is a prisma topped with a flower I crocheted & a button I just bought at a LSS. A little fiskars border punch, vintage tea distressing & crazy stitching finish it off! I'm eeking in under the wire again.... Guess that's my thing now. Better than missing the deadline altogether! Thought I'd add this one to Moxie Fab's Stamping Olympics too!
Let me know what you think? (and I'll apologize if you're tired of this image, but I doubt this is the end of her!)

EBTKS #9- sketch challenge
Here's my take on the sketch over at EBTKS! Here's the amazing part- I'm actually USING supplies that I LOVE, and would, therefore, have a tendency to hoard!!! Look at me! :)
PP is from the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love 6x6 pad. The center image is PTI's through the trees, stamped and SHRINKY-DINKED!! I know I'm dating myself when I say that I did create with shrinky-dinks as a kid- but I haven't since then, and it was pretty fun! :) I used vintage cream & fresh snow ink for the trunk & SU! old olive for the leaves. It's mounted on cream cardstock & popped up for dimension. I also distressed the cream squares the cosmo squares are mounted on. MS twill along the bottom. And if you look carefully, you can see I added a scallop-punched border of the striped paper on the inside....

It's a fab day!
While I didn't WIN the Moxie Fab challenge for Taintor-tude- I did get a shout out from Cath! And let's face it, in my little world- that is pretty great! Within one week I've been a runner-up in 2 fun challenges! (I hope I don't sound like I'm tooting my own horn- but this is big doin's for me!) So, thought I'd throw my paper-pieced hat in to Betsy's challenge. And yes, I am eeking this in under the wire!!! :)
Just bought that coredinations paper- and the photo doesn't do it justice- it really has a wave effect. PTI men of life, paper pieced with ancient CM star paper & versamark clear embossed PTI brown. The layers are popped up a few times for dimension & twine tied in a sailor's knot.
Sorry for the quality of the pics- light isn't great at this hour!
Thanks for taking a look- I'd love to know what you think!

My little stitcher...
created this. yes, she is 4. ok, she'll be 5 in April. I sewed the pillow together, but she did ALL the embroidery. And I think she's addicted to it! She loves to craft, just like Mama! :)
please disregard the lack of ironing prior to sewing it together!
Cherish...
I do cherish my wonderful husband. Every day. So this is the Valentine card that I made for him....
Yes, there is a bow, and pink cardstock, and somehow it didn't seem overly girly. I think the metal charm is what saved me!
Hope you are all having a sweet day with those you hold dear!

Happy Valentines Day!
I know you are all tired of the glitter banner, but yes, I made another one anyway! This one was given to Hadley's preschool teacher- she is FABULOUS and a wonderful influence in Hadley's life! She loves crafty things, and the last time I worked in the classroom she was asking about glitter.... Say no more. :)
I used some ric rac that Lisa sent me for HER birthday (lucky me!!!), and the bottom has some vellum I punched with that Martha Stewart doily thingy. I kinda like this one better than the one that is in my house, so yay for me for giving it away!!!
These are the treats we made for her class, her cousins & a few special friends! Little candy canes with chocolate & sprinkles- what's not to like?! :)
Hadley is addressing her Valentines.... (yes, they are cut with nesties, and stamped with PTI vintage labels- in white for the border & versamark for the scroll)
Bagged up & ready for a Valentine party!
CPS #153
Here's a card done for CPS sketch #153.... My card isn't square, but followed the sketch besides that! The stamps are My Cute Stamps, paper is that yummy basic grey porcelain. I colored the image with prismacolors, and I don't know if you can see it well, but I added glaze pen to the cake stand & the flower and spica glitter to the embossed portion of the frame.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

I'm a Domestic Diva!
Congrats to Tanis that WON this challenge!!! But I am a little {ok a lot} giddy to have been a runner up! This was a fun challenge & I'm uber happy to now know WHICH chipboard my cricut can cut (and HOORAY it's the stuff I already had around the house)!!!
Thanks to the EBTKS gals for a fun challenge!

My Cute Stamps!
I love this set from My Cute Stamps! I've made several birthday cards with it- and will make many, many more I'm sure!
This one is another watercolored image, paired with Cosmo Cricket paper, pink grosgrain ribbon & teeny tiny pearls. There's some spica glitter on her dress & eyes, but it really doesn't show up well in this picture.
I finished the inside of this too, but dang it if I didn't take a pic before giving it to its new owner!
ETA
Since My Cute Stamps is having a design team call, I'm giving it a try! Cross your fingers!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

PTI's 3rd anniversary LOVE banner, EBTKS
Here's a super quick post to show you the emboss resist technique that Nicole challenged us to use! I stamped the background basics text style with chamomile tea, then stamped polka dots 2 in versamark & embossed them with clear powder. I rubbed some pink blush followed by some pure poppy ink over the top. I punched these scallop-edge circles out, then mounted them on white circles that had been inked in the chamomile ink as well. Don't the colors look fabulous with the basic grey porcelain paper?
And why, yes, I am addicted to cereal box chipboard that has been painted & glittered. Thanks for noticing! Ha! So I'll add this to the EBTKS challenge too!

EKTKS #5- box top valentine
There's another challenge going on over at Everything but the kitchen sink. It's to use box tops! I used a popcorn box for the letters since that's what I had available.... I die cut the letters with my cricut using storybook, painted & glittered them- I have mentioned that I love glitter, right? :)
The dp is MME that I've only been holding on to for a year ( I also currently have a couple of scrapbook pages waiting to be finished with this paper!). Cardstock is PTI, computer printed & sewn on. Love those accordians soooo much more now that I learned to use hot glue on them!
I'd LOVE to hear what you think!!! And go see what everybody else did with box tops at EBTKS!
Thanks for stopping by!!
