Embellish Text, MIM #16

I love the story boards Embellish puts together- they are always so inspiring! The colors are beautiful, and the text element is always fun for me! I thought these colors were suited to the MIM: sympathy card. So here's my take:

I used soft stone, smokey shadow & ocean tides cardstock. The picket fence is die cut from vintage book print & attached to chipboard (ie, cereal box).
The anniversary set is used for all the images- botanical silhoettes, I believe. Versamark, fresh snow & smokey shadow ink. May Arts black twine.

There you go! Go check out the other MIM & Embellish entries!
This weekend is Memorial Day-a time to give thanks to our military & their families for their daily sacrifices to keep our country free.
Thanks for stopping by- I always love hearing what you think!!

  17. Hi Jen, I've been meaning to pop by for ages to say thanks for telling me about the Lawn Fawn win over at 2Peas. Well done to you too!!! :o)

Your sympathy card is gorgeous! I love how you've done that little fence and the colours you've chosen are so much nicer than the over muted colours normally seen with sympathy cards, must save that for future reference!!
