MIM #251: Gradient Watercolor Die Cuts

This week Dawn challenged us to use watercolor gradient die cuts. I loved this technique and have already colored two more panels to use in a similar way!
Here's what I came up with:

I used a spellbinder cover plate for my panel after zigging the background & allowing it to dry. I actually applied the adhesive before I even removed the panel from the die & that seemed to work great!
I used a sentiment from Fillable Frames #8 & heat embossed it in white. I tied on a bit of yellow burlap string to finish it off.
My other panels are different colors- I know one will use the bitty butterfly coverplate!

I had a fun surprise this morning when Karen messaged me to tell me my origami money MIM card made the June PTI newsletter! So fun!! Almost makes up for setting my alarm for 4:40am tomorrow to go to work. Almost!
Have a great day & happy June 1!
