PDCC #67

The inspiration pic at PDCC this week is STUNNING!

right? Here's my take:

I can't tell you how much I'd rather not be doing sympathy cards.... I embossed the image with clear powder on white paper. I then used my water pen (I know there's a name for it, but can't think of it!) with sweet blush on top, and pure poppy on the bottom. Hard to believe that's pure poppy, right? Mounted it on some darker paper from my stash. Used Night of navy for the bird & sentiment. I scored a couple of lines & tied some May Arts crinkle ribbon in between.
Head over to PDCC to see the other great entries! Thanks so much for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think!

  1. I agree Jen, sympathy cards can be very difficult, but I think you pulled it off really well, especially with those strong colours. Lovely card :) Thanks for playing at the Play Date Cafe this week!
