Triggered a Couch...

As soon as I saw the trigger at Moxie Fab I knew I needed to play (and that I wanted that room!)
And this week the PTI Make it Monday challenge is to add a vellum sentiment strip...
And Wee Memories Challenge is to be inspired by something-not sure if the trigger counts, but
Laurel's card on page 44 of Stamp it! Techniques has a couch stamped on fabric....
So here's what I came up with:

PTI spring rain & soft stone cardstock. PTI woodgrain embossing plate with tea dye ink. PTI couch stamped on a cream sock (!), pillows stamped on the Jenni Bowlin index sheet for 4x4 papers (damask) & chamomile tea to tone down the white- blue pillow is stamped with versamark & journaling lines. (versafine ink for all outlines & sentiment).

May Arts crochet (can't seem to get enough of that!) & red burlap string. I also used a pretty Graphic 45 flower as an accent, and a doily of course!

And because this is just too fun for words, I have to show you my little stamper at work:

She stamped a scene (my parent's house- although I assure you their couches are not pink!)

So cute!
Don't forget to head over to May Arts for a chance at another ribbon giveaway- it's going through the weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!!

  1. I love how different our couches are... of course yours has fabulous ribbon and awesome texture... and the vellum strip is great, love how it adds to it in a subtle way.

  2. TWO great artists at work. The little touches of red in your card are amazing, they pop against the blue and white.

  3. OMG!! This card is amazing. I can't believe the texture of your couch. A sock? Amazing I say!

It appears that you have a very talented stamping buddy. I love her pink couches. Way to go Hadley!

  4. GET out!!! LOVE that sock couch!! Maybe I should reupholster our couches with socks - would be washable too!! Hadley is darling stamping! How cute is that tongue out and her two-story house?!!

  5. This is just too fantastic for words!
Stamping on a sock?!! Love it!!
The embossing with ink technique? Brilliant!
Seeing Hadley create a little stamped scene? Priceless :-)

  6. Hey Jen! What a sweet approach to this week's Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! Thanks so much for joining in on all the fun! :)

  7. Cute take on the trigger, and thanks for sharing the creativity of your youngest stamper! The next generation of greatness!

  8. Look at your little mini me go! A sock! Hello! You must have to set your own bar high for thinking outside the box! This is too adorable and I want that room too! :-)

  9. How cute! I love your card with the pillows. I love the woodgrain, the doily and the clock, such wonderful elements to have picked. thanks for the sweet words on my blog!(I do not look at others cards until the contest has closed, so if I want to keep playing I can without others cards having influenced my thought processes.)

  10. Oh my goodness! This picture of your little stamper just melts my heart. She is already quite an artist. Love the little tongue sticking out....toooooo cute!
Great blog. I'm loving all the inspiration.

  11. What a cutie...both the card and the sweetheart. Everyone knows you color better with your tongue to help out.
