shabby-ish birthday

I need to get this one in the mail!! I've had these tidbits on my desk & finally put them together!
PTI vintage cream cardstock, round & round sentiment, giga guidelines embossing plate.

I used the Make it Monday technique to just emboss the bottom (and last weeks to distress the edges!)
Old book print, Once upon a Springtime by Graphic 45 & crochet ribbon by May Arts.
We missed seeing this little surprise being born by about 15 minutes yesterday! This pasture is on the same street as Hadley's school & after I dropped her off I stopped to see the sweet baby & he was still slimey!

The owner rescued 2 ponies last fall (one is the mother) & had no idea she was pregnant!

there is still a chance this little guy won't make it- no prenatal & no vet (or anyone that knew what they were doing) for a few hours. Mama wasn't making milk yet. The poor owner was so stressed out & worried! I hope this little guy makes it!!! I'm thinking that being born on St. Patrick's day HAS to bring him a bit o' luck, right?!
:)
Don't forget to head over to May Arts for more giveaways- first day of spring is oh-so-close!

  1. May all the luck be with that little guy. Your card is beautiful, of course. The text strip is a great idea, adds just the right amount of interest.

  8. I haven't yet tried my hand at this Make It Monday, but you did an amazing job with it. It looks so vintage-y.

I hope the little guy is better. So sweet.

  9. There's that bird I LOVE again!! So cool -
That baby horse is adorable- make sure and update us on how he's doing!! I know people who got a hamster and didn't know it was pregnant but never with a horse!

  11. Beautiful, shabby card, Jen! How precious are those ponies? Our grands have horses behind their house...not this tiny but beautiful.
