The Heart Desires Challenge 17

It's already time for another challenge at The Heart Desires! We are up to Challenge #17!
Check out how fun this inspiration is:

Doesn't that cat crack you up? He reminds me of one of the guys from the Village People for some reason- probably the expression!!
Here's my take:

I'm using Concord & 9th Happy Day! I've stamped it in Versafine Black ink on Bristol Vellum paper & colored it with zigs. The ultrafine candles are lit with Delicata gold ink.
Won't this be perfect for a near-Halloween birthday?
I hope you can join us for this fun challenge!

Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I'm quite late to the Fall Coffer Lovers Bloghop!
Here's my first entry- which will be in the high 800's! WOW!

Altenew & Concord & 9th stamps using the current The Heart Desires challenge!
I used some watercolor for the colors & anchored the panel with some glitter washi- it looks very fall-ish to me!
A big shout-out to ~amy~ & the Coffee Loving Crew- what fabulous inspiration!

Don't miss the Challenge or the sale at The Heart Desires!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge 16

We are halfway through this month's challenge already at The Heart Desires
Here's a reminder of the great inspiration:

And here's my take:

A whole lotta of Concord & 9th!
I've stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring in Versafine Sepia Ink, then using the same ink I stamped the sentiment and splatters from Hello Lovely. Wouldn't the sentiments from Give Thanks be perfect too?
Those leaves!!! Gah!
I was trying to incorporate all of the colors and that fall feel in the inspiration so I used my zigs on Bristol paper and the Layering Leaves Dies. I really dig how it turned out!
A few sequins would have been great, but I still haven't uncovered them. I suspect they may be packed until the house is built!
Hope you can find some time to join us this month at The Heart Desires!

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge 10

Playing along with Where Creativity Meets C9; Challenge 10- Layered!
Here's my take:

I've put my Mother's Day gift to work on this one! The Happy Words stamps & Happy Card Frame set are really fun! I've used the frame with vellum & machine stitched it in place after using my zigs to stamp & then waterbrush the color out. A few seqins finish it off.
I must say that Concord & 9th has rocketed to the top of my favorites list- and their customer service is amazing! Makes this challenge a new favorite too!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge Inspiration #13

A reminder of the fabulous board:

Here's my take:

I've put the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool set to work wit the inspiration colors on Bristol paper. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. A few ink spatters & sequins finish this CAS treat off!
This is such a fun set- super versatile- I was excited to put it to use for the challenge!
Hope to see how you've been inspired! Still lots of time to play :)

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge Inspiration #12

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires! Hard to believe it's the middle of May!!
Here's what I came up with:

This Concord & 9th set is one not to be missed! I've used the Happy Words stamps with the Happy Card Frame die set- and I was smitten with the results!
I used the bottom left image as my inspiration on this one- but all the images and colors are so lovely! I hope you'll join us!

ETA: I had good intentions of adding this to the current Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge too- it's all about florals! Better late than never!

The Heart Desires Challenge #10

It's time for a new challenge at The Heart Desires!! It's been so fun to see how everyone has been inspired by the challenges so far- hope you can play along with us again for Challenge #10!
Here is the inspiration:

Isn't it amazing?
Here's my take:

I know everyone is shocked that I used the Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies, as well as the Gina Marie Scalloped Circle Frames Dies
I thought the Concord & 9th Map Love was the perfect set for this challenge! I've used Delicata golden glitz ink and heat embossed it gold on vellum paper. I stamped the earth image on the card base below. A few sequins finish it off!
You've got all month to join us!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge #9

I'm here with more inspiration for The Heart Desires Challenge #9!
Still lots of time to play- and look at this board:

SO FUN!
Here's my take:

I've used Concord and 9th Wildflower set on Bristol paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink & put my zigs to work to color with the inspiration colors.
To create the border, I used a Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die to emboss the focal panel.
The Altenew Beautiful Lady sentiment is heat embossed with white powder on black cardstock & popped up.

The Heart Desires December Mid-Challenge Inspiration

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires! Still plenty of time to play along! So many fun elements to choose from!

Literal girl here- I saw that pink bottle brush tree & I knew the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree set would be perfect! I used the Gina Marie Scalloped Circle Frame die to cut the fun pink houndstooth paper (Echo Park), popping the frame part up.
I cut a metallic gold panel with the Gina Marie Nested Rectangle dies, then cut the patterned paper to fit inside of the stitching.
The trees are heat embossed with Versamark ink and some pink embossing powder from my stash (I've had it for years and there is no manufacturer listed).
The sentiment (isn't that the prettiest font?) is stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.
A few gold sequins finish it off!
I hope you find time to play along with this challenge- what will inspire you?

The Heart Desires Challenge #5: Mid-Challenge Inspiration!

I've got some mid-challenge inspiration for you today over at The Heart Desires!

I've put Concord & 9th Give Thanks stamps to work and stacked them up in the inspiration colors! I've used various inks & zig markers to achieve the colors on Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper.
I didn't have a big black sentiment that seemed right so I cut several layers of 'celebrate' on my silhouette and stacked them up. A few pale pink ink spatters to try to get all the inspiration colors in and several sequins to finish it off!
Don't you love these images as feathers?

I love this fun inspiration- I hope you can join us and play along!

The Heart Desires Challenge #5

I can't tell you how excited I am to be joining this team! Such a great group of kind and talented women!!
I'm usually such a literal girl- but I did a photo shoot at a pumpkin patch this weekend and was smitten by the white pumpkins! So I've Stacked 'Em Up & the sentiment is a little large so we'll call it 2/3!

I've used Concord & 9th Give Thanks stamps for the sentiment. Delicata Golden Glitz ink was used, heat embossed with gold, and offset to stamp again.
The background panel is Strathmore watercolor paper with dark brown Brusho Watercolor crystals. All of those items are available in the store!
Layering panel in rust color is from PTI.
The pumpkins are from Impression Obsession.
A few gold sequins & gold string finish it off!
